Of course as a graphic designer i'd want this in every color! ha

So this week i'm on spring break (FINALLY) and trust me when i say it's well overdue! This semester has proven to be much of a challenge (uh, i think every semester is actually) but i want to take this week to just relax, indulge in a few projects, and just spend some extra time with the buds!

So far, it's been pretty eventful and with Coachella coming up and free tickets to see Britney Spears on Thursday it's going to be EXTREMELY interesting! HA! I'll keep ya'll posted FOR SURE!

From director Spike Jonze comes the film adaptation of yet another childerens classic, the book everyone talks about. Everyone Poops. HA just kidding. I came across this trailer spoof of "Where the Wild Things Are" and thought it was funny. Ha.

I'm obsessing over a lot of the blacks that appeared in the Damir Doma Fall 09 collection. Everything looks amazing, comfortable, and layered! Great collection from a great designer!

So, my week continues to be filled with school work, school work, school work. However, today was pretty nice chilling out with Gossip Girl as we stuffed our faces silly at dinner! (don't mess with us when theres sea food around) ha. However, tomorrow starts a new week so i'm optimistic things will turn out great. Heading back to Riverside manana for school. My portfolio is coming along great! Working on giving it a little structure, adding some variety, thinking of adding additional items and whatnot. So, we'll see how it maps out. I want to have it complete by the summer so i can work on other projects.

ANYWAY, everyone have a good week, and i'll be updating you along the way with... uh, just random blobs ha. OOooo and check out the song below. I've been addicted to them, and their album is G.R.E.A.T. (like Tony the tiger would say ;-) )

The girls at DimePiece did it again with their "Plastic City/Spring09" Collection. I love everything from the prints, the cuts, the press photos (so sick), and their still an affordable urban, fashion-forward line. AMAZING

From director Sam Mendes (American Beauty) comes with cute corky love story that i think is based on just finding an appropriate place to raise a family and whatnot. The graphics and vibe of the movie reminds me a lot of Juno so hopefully it's not too similar. So we'll see. It looks promising. I love Maya Rudolph!

Having a job in the creative industry has it's ups and downs. I mean on the bright side you get paid for your artistic ability, have fun doing it (sometimes), and in some way make an influence on the world.

The down side is stability. I know my fair-share of friends with "art" degrees that are just having a tough time all around finding a job, holding a job, or getting let go from a job. It's SO FRUSTRATING! Not only are you in CONSTANT competition with others, your also kinda viewed as a "trend" or easily disposable cause "so many other people do what you do". :-/ how do you get respected, or validated as an artist?

ANYWAY, just had to get that off my chest. So much going on right now that positivity has been a life saver the past couple of months. I know things get better with time and motivation but GOSH DAMNIT!

The past couple weeks has been a MAJOR challenge! School has been kicking my ass, finally putting effort into making a solid portfolio, getting sick from God only knows what, attempting to brainstorm ideas for my own collection, and trying to figure out my next step after leaving Jeremy Scott has all been stressin' me out a lot lately!

Hopefully with spring brake approaching soon i can take a day trip or something and possibly catch up with friends i've disregarded since the year started (i'm SORRY to those of you) Well, off to bed now!

I can always appreciate an over-priced basics line that is on top of what's going on with street fashion and delivers! AA released a few goodies a few weeks ago which include the rapidly populated Harem pant (in various colors and their tribal print) bat-winged hoodies for both men and women (which also comes in array of colors, prints, and of course it wouldn't have an AA label on if it didn't come in LAME'!!) haha. Overall i think it's a great push, and is going to be on EVERYONE, VERY soon haha!

p.s. i want the HOODIE!! haha

New line from LA based designers Gods Prey. Love the collection thus far but not so sure about the price-point for this line as their official site is just a blog. On another note, this style of fashion-forward clothing seems to look VERY similar to Cheap Monday's WKND collection, Kling by Kling, aBUG Collection and various others. A trend or imitation? YOU be the judge! :-/
